Washington, DC January 14, 2008--University Town Center in Hyattsville is pleased to announce that Three Brothers Italian Restaurant is now open! This 4,000 square foot restaurant specializes in pizza and Italian-American specialties. This is their 15th restaurant in Maryland (9 corporately held and 6 franchise units).
Three Brothers Italian is located at 6450 America Boulevard (off East – West Highway, between Belcrest and Adelphi Roads). The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This restaurant is owned and operated by Mike Cron, franchisee, and managed by David Cron.
"Three Brothers Italian Restaurant is an establishment with a very strong following in metropolitan marketplace," said Tim Taylor, Vice President of Leasing. "We have strived to create a truly dynamic blend of local, regional and national eateries and cafes and have one opening almost every month!", said Taylor. The new restaurants at the Town Center cover the full range of price-points and styles, with broad appeal and something for everyone.
The Town Center, with its upscale theater and selection of restaurants and entertainment is the perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon with the family or an evening with friends or on a date. "We are thrilled Three Brothers has opened at the Town Center. The restaurants, Royale 14 movie theatre, and surrounding amenities are creating an attractive destination in the City of Hyattsville," said Mayor William Gardiner.
University Town Center in Hyattsville is a $1.2 billion dollar mixed-use project that when completed will have over 250,000 square feet of new retail and entertainment. Residents started moving in this summer to One Independence Plaza, a 122 Condominium Home project. Lofts Twenty – Two, an upscale 22 unit building is expected to be open in late winter, early spring. The developers set out to integrate a variety of uses to create a project with a sense of continuity and synergy, which appeals to a blend of audiences. In an effort to achieve that goal, the Town Center was designed with a large public plaza with public art, seating areas, a performance stage, and water features at the center of the project.
The story of Three Brothers Restaurants is a true American success story. In 1976, three sons of a hard-working Italian family moved the family business from Brooklyn, New York to Greenbelt, Maryland to make good on their father’s dreams of success. After 30 years of hard work, one family restaurant has grown into a thriving corporation serving the entire region with 15 locations throughout Maryland. Originally from Rapone, Italy, Michael, Mario and Peter Repole have participated in every part of the business – from using family recipes for making their famous sauce and entrees to developing both in-center and free standing Three Brothers restaurants.
The original Greenbelt, Maryland location is still a thriving operation, doing well over a million dollars in business every year. Many of its existing customers are children and grandchildren of people that have been served by Three Brothers Restaurants since the beginning. This reinforces the notion of family, which the company tries to create in its customers and employees. The company tends to promote from within. Almost 90 percent of the managers and franchise owners have come from within the company. Even when they come from outside the system, they have typically been associated with the company as customers for many years.
